Local Course Rules

BC Golf Course. Read these before you tee off.

Play is governed by the Rules of Golf, the WSNGA "Hard Card," and these Local Rules. Local Rules printed on the scorecard are not in effect.

Tees

All players will tee from the forward tees.

Immovable Obstruction

The cement drain on the left side of Hole #6 is to be played as an immovable obstruction.

Yellow Penalty Areas

The stream in front of the green on Hole #12, and in front of the #13 tee, are to be played as Yellow Penalty Areas.

Red Penalty Areas

All other bodies of water are to be played as Red Penalty Areas, including the channel on the left side of Hole #3. In the absence of lines, the natural edge of the grass or curbing defines the edge of the Penalty Area.

Boulders directly adjacent to the concrete liner of the Penalty Area are considered in the Penalty Area: the edge of the Penalty Area is the edge of the boulders (Holes #7, #8, and #17). On Holes #13 and #14, the stream and all the red crushed rock area adjacent to it are in the Penalty Area.

Abnormal Course Conditions

Players will be granted free relief for tree roots that are in their fairway only. Bare areas that are extensions of the cart path next to the greens are Ground Under Repair, whether marked or not. An exposed bunker liner may be treated as GUR, but interference does not exist if the liner interferes only with the player's stance.

Integral Part of the Course

Out of Bounds is indicated by white stakes, property lines, and the outside edge of curbs of paved roads, plus the brick edging defining the clubhouse patio, driving range, and cart staging area.

  • Model Local Rule F-7

In effect: relief for Seams of Cut Turf (lie and swing only, not stance).
